CallumMoodie
Graduate Apprentice Analyst/Developer - University of Glasgow
Final year software engineering student building production software used by 20,000+ people. When I'm not writing code, you'll find me playing guitar, exploring a new city, or having a pint.
Projects
A selection of things I've built and experimented with.
React Native Modernisation
Independently developed a cross-platform React Native proof-of-concept to replace the University's Cordova/Vue.js mobile stack. Implemented secure auth via MSAL and Azure AD, achieving ~80% decrease in UI frame drops over the existing app.
Moodle-UofG Life Integration
Built an integration layer between Moodle and the UofG Life hybrid app, giving students quick access to course content and deadlines. Created reusable Vue.js components for course lists, deadlines, and assessment info.
PintTracker
Light-hearted side-project webapp for tracking and rating beers, pints, venues, and drinking habits over time. Features authentication, CRUD flows, and dashboards showing total pints, favourite venues, and personalised stats.
Music Higher/Lower
Fun personal webapp game for guessing which music video has a higher view count. Built with Next.js and deployed via Vercel, with video data supplied via the YouTube API.

Music
I've played guitar for years, mainly taking inspiration from my dad and grandfather, as well as a variety of artists.
I've been playing guitar casually for a number of years now - it's definitely one of my favourite hobbies.
I listen to a bit of everything, including rock, hip-hop, EDM, metal, and more.
